Where do we start? While other toothpastes contain unnecessary and harmful ingredients like foaming agents, emulsifiers, fluoride, and harsh preservatives, we started by removing these and added in ingredients for a healthy oral microbiome. We are passionate about being more than just a “natural” oral care company, we are passionate about treating oral health as a key pillar of whole-body wellness. Our standard goes deeper - using functional, science-backed ingredients that actively support the mouth’s microbiome, strengthen enamel, and nourish gum health. But we don’t stop there. At Teethos, we focus on results. Every Teethos formula is thoughtfully developed and then tested using established methods to evaluate things like plaque reduction. We don’t just choose clean ingredients - we make sure they actually perform.
Hydroxyapatite (HA) is a naturally occurring mineral that makes up approximately 97% of tooth enamel. Your body already contains a large amount of hydroxyapatite, including in your saliva. Initially having most popularity in Japan and favored in Europe, research indicates that hydroxyapatite might be as effective, or more, than fluoride in restoring tooth enamel. The HA in our formula is 100% natural from limestone in France.
At Teethos, we believe in using the most natural forms of hydroxyapatite. Ours is derived from calcium-rich limestone, then purified into a highly pure form that is considered safe, non-toxic, and effective for supporting enamel health.
Our toothpowders contain 10% hydroxyapatite to support enamel remineralization.
Our offerings are gluten-free, vegan and produced in a facility free of peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame. Our production site includes items made from milk, egg, fish and shellfish. Nonetheless, we implement stringent procedures to avoid cross- contamination.
